A Two-Part Technology That Offers a Whole Lot More
Talk about an intelligent brake system; this one needs no driver input to brake when moving through steep grades or when entirely stopped. The IntelliBrake System’s two revolutionary technologies include both a parking brake and a motor brake. The parking brake is applied automatically when the vehicle is stopped. The automaticity is helpful so that golfers don’t have to waste time and energy setting and releasing a brake, or even worse, we all know what happens when someone forgets to set the brake. The motor brake automatically engages when traveling through steep grades. The motor brake’s primary function is to slow the vehicle down as needed on hills, without requiring the driver to do so.
Regenerative Braking, Energy Return-Back, and the Benefits
One of the best features of The E-Z-GO Intellibrake System is the full-time regenerative braking. Regenerative braking allows the motor to capture the energy, which is used to brake, and which is usually wasted on creating friction and heat. That captured energy is then used to recharge the battery. Full-time regenerative braking gives golf cart batteries a longer battery life, 15% more efficiency than DC-powered vehicles, and a 21% more energy saved in the batteries.

The IntelliBrake System makes a world of difference. When the IntelliBrake System boasts “consistent speeds all day long,” they’re talking about the RXV holding 97% of its speed even when going uphill! The 15% greater efficiency, as mentioned earlier, comes from the vehicle’s superior hill-climbing ability and constant power, and results allowing the cart to cover ground much quicker than its traditional braking system competitors.
